A Splendid Sunday

Well, this blog was supposed to be published yesterday but since my DSL (THANK YOU BAYANTEL! *rolling eyes*) is still on its topak mode, I have to make it quick.

Ok. So Achi's family and I went to Edsa Shangri-La to see Indiana Jones 2 starring Harrison Ford. They invited mee last Saturday when we had dinner at their house. Anyway. While we were in the car, we talked about a lot of things like the book, Twilight. My niece told me that she has completed the series already including the other book, The Host. She couldn't wait to see the movie on December. Haha!

Oh. The movie was great! The colony of ants creeped us out while watching the movie. I only give the movie a 1 thumb up for making my heart jump.

After watching the movie, my nieces, nephew, and yours truly went to Powerbooks to check James Patterson's Sundays at Tiffany's. On the other hand, I checked for the book Twilight. Unfortunately, they're out of stock. :( They have the Eclipse though. But I didn't buy it because I promised myself to buy the first one. So I checked for other books. And I found Ms. Manalaysay's love book when she brought it to school. The book is entitled The Book of Love Answers by Caroll Bott. It's not a novel by the way. You ask love questions then browse (by not looking on the pages.) until you get onto the page that you feel like it's the "answer". I tried and it's true! The book will somehow help you to answer your love questions. My nephew tried it too but the questions were for me though. Here's the questions:

Nephew: magkakaboyfriend na ba si Auntie Via this coming school year??
Book: be ready for it.
Nephew: eh magkakatuluyan ba sila?
Book: Yes.
Nephew: eh anong gagawin nila sa first date nila?
Book: kiss now, talk later.

=)). We laughed hard when he started asking those weird questions. The customers who are in the bookstore gave a can't-you-see-we're-reading-a-book look. So we lowered our voices. By the way, the book costs 749.00 php. I'm going to save money for Twilight series and that book. Haha! :P

We can't wait for Achi (their mom) to fetch us up in the bookstore so we went across the store and found them. We stayed for an hour or so I think? Then after 10 years, we've finally went out for dinner. We don't know where to eat because my brother-in-law wants to at Sumo Sam and my sister wants to eat at Tenderbob's. Both restaurants were full of customers so we have to wait. And the winner is Tenderbob's! Haha! My youngest niece and I ordered the carbonara while the others ordered spare ribs and a clam chowder, etc. We talked about the courses we will be taking on college and the schools we want to go while we're eating. After we fulled our stomachs with those mouth-watering dishes, my eldest niece went to National Bookstore to check for Sundays at Tiffany's book. A man welcomed us with "Ma'am, close na po kami," greetings. My niece heard the man was saying "Ma'am kumusta po kayo?" so she answered with "okay lang." my youngest niece and I stared blankly at her because she went straight ahead to check for the book, she looked back and realized that they're already close. We laughed hard (especially her) when we told her that the store is already close and what she heard from the man was wrong.

After long hours of staying there, we finally went to our bases. And have my routines and lie down to bed. Oh. I also watched The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It really is scary. It took me an hour before I fell asleep. Of course I prayed before I slept. :)

Oh. I forgot to mention that Stephanie Meyer is the author of the month of Powerbooks. Haha! :P
