Christmas '08

Okay. So, the previous post wasn't the last entry I've published. Whatever.

I thought nothing special would happen with my Christmas but I was indeed wrong. This Christmas was fun but somehow, awkward since my half-brother(Ahya, as we say in Chinese) came together with her family. We were really not that close and rarely talking to each other. To tell you the truth, the reason why me and my other siblings were normally talking is because of their kids. I am actually fond of kids. It is perhaps the reason we're, you know, talking. And I am thankful for them. I still have a little problem with my second sister(Di Chi) though, they don't have a kid for some reasons so I find it challenging to become close with them. According to my dad, when the time comes that he would leave this world (but I know it would not happen yet), I'd stay with them.

Okay, I've given you a little story regarding my family so, let's proceed with our Christmas gathering. I can't believe we were complete at that time. Too bad my second brother(Di Hya) and his family couldn't come because they're out of the country for the Yuletide season. But they've visited Dad on the Christmas Eve. If his two adorable kids would come here Christmas, I am so much sure my room would be an arena between my two nephews because Pauline and I have been wrestled by Dennis (4 years old), my nephew, for several hours already. My small room was filled with a lot of kids. When the time came that my other two nephews came, they can't even sit on a chair nor bed because there's no place in my room already so, they sat on the floor. Pauline and I were so bored so we decided to come for a walk. We drag along Beatrice and Erica, too. The more the merrier, right? I toured them around the neighborhood, and to the church. Apparently, the church was closed so we went back to house. We overheard that they(my family) wants to go eat at this certain restaurant so ended up going there. Oh! we had kodak moments first before we went there!

There were so many cars in Roxas boulevard so it caused traffic and it was quite tedious in the car since we're in my Di Chi's car. (remember? they don't have a kid.) I didn't notice that I've had a nap, perhaps Dennis made me so tired. When we got there, A few people was inside the establishment but as time passes by, people are gradually increasing. A shoe was even thrown at her head at the second floor while we were happily munching on our food. My family went nuts to find out whose shoe was that from. Unfortunately, we didn't find the shoe. When the food satisfied our tummies, we headed back home already. But when my dad was entering the car, he had his fingers crushed by the car door when Di Chi had closed the door. An abrupt screeching was heard coming from Dad's. I hurriedly tell Di Chi that she closed the door together with Dad's fingers. Of course it would hurt but it doesn't have anything to be concerned about.

This day had been a wonderful day for me and I will cherish this day forever.

Christmas day is indeed the most wonderful day of the year despite the mishaps that we encounter. Not only families become complete in this very important day of the year but we also commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.
